Requesting a digital image, licencing and our charges
Digital images can be requested by contacting the Geological Society Library, stating the title and reference of the image and your intended use. We will then ask you to complete a permissions form, which will either state that the image is supplied for private research or for publication, broadcast, exhibition, website purposes (which may be subject to an additional fee).
Our basic charges for supplying a digital image are as follows:

Publishing an image
The Geological Society Library normally charges for use of its images in publications, broadcast, websites or exhibitions, however this will vary depending on its use. For instance, for non-profit, small print runs the fee is likely to be modest and in some circumstances may be waived entirely. For a quote, please contact the Geological Society Library giving as much information as possible about the image’s intended use.
